Wow! what a fighter! thanks for the update. With so much in the world going on and keeping us all concerned, we tend to lose track of things sometimes. So glad to be reminded of your buddy and his fight. Renewing vibes from the dump on the hump and enjoying the fact that the family had something to be thankful for last Thursday!!!!
Love, Ima

I thought I'd give an update on Steve. Last Wednesday, he ate his first solid food since October. It was only a teaspoon of scrambled egg, a teaspoon of yogurt, and a teaspoon of juice but it's a start. He will continue to have ups and downs but he has come a long way from being intubated and hooked to all kinds of machines and ivs.
Thank you for your prayers and if you have a chance to send a few more, it will be greatly appreciated.
Life is good!

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Quick update - Steve has moved to a Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, NE for 30 days. Hopefully, he will make lots of progress there.
Word is that the DA is finally going to file charges against the guy that hit him. Apparently, he has no record but he left the scene, called an attorney, and took his car in for body work. The auto place called the cops on him.

Hooray on both counts! We're still vibing!
My second thoughts go to the family of the guy who hit and ran. Hope there are no kids depending on him. Throw a stone into a pond and the ripples go on forever.
Love and more to you and yours,
Ima

So - 5 months after the accident, charges have finally been filed - DUI, leaving the scene, and aggravated battery. Supposedly, the DA wanted to be sure all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed. Let's hope so.

Quick update on Steve. Received video of him upright and walking with the aid of a Lokomat. Very cool - still a long road but little steps each day are great.
I have a new request. Penny is a member of our hand bell choir. She hasn't been able to ring in about a year because of some weird neck/nerve/hand thing going on, She can't grip, pretty much can't use her hands, has fallen several times, and has a lot of pain. She is scheduled for surgery on the 25th - they are going to clean out some disks and put in a spacer - can't remember which spot on the spine. She would appreciate all the prayers and vibes you have to spare. It has been a long process trying to figure out what is going on - surgery on her hand didn't solve the issue. Please pray that this surgery is the answer.
Thank you! I asked her if I could bring the request to y'all because the CTN vibes and prayers are so strong. She didn't hesitate to say yes.
