I would recommend that everyone either watches or records the Virginia Tech/Miami game this Saturday if you are interested in seeing our next two opponents. Both teams have been very inconsistent this year, and it will be interesting to see how that game goes. Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Brewer, who has not played since the opener, could come back and play this weekend.

Maybe they'll beat each other unconscious and they'll both have to sit a bunch of players with concussions for a few games.

Virginia Tech opened as a 6 points favorite but it has already fallen to 3.5 points. I like Duke (shocking) in a medium-low scoring game, say 20-16.

Terrence Alls is back from suspension and will make the trip to Blacksburg. He is our fastest receiver and won one of the Most Improved awards during Spring Practice last winter. We will all have to wait and see what impact his return has but this is potentially a shot in the arm for the receiving corps!

Congrats to him for working hard to right his wrongs. Looking forward to seeing live up to the pre-season hype.
I really, really, loathe VT. I hated that we lost last year in a game that we should have won, and look forward to leaving the Turkeys stuffed at home just as we did in the rain two years ago.

I really, really, really loathe that fucking "gobble, gobble" they play on third downs. I hope that damn speaker gets silenced so many times.

This is terrific news for our offense. I am very excited to see how our offense performs this weekend. With Alls back, we have multiple guys that can be weapons on the outside for Sirk. McCaffrey, Barnes, Rahming, Alls, and Nash should all be available on Saturday. I think our offense has a chance to have a big game if we can establish the running game early and Sirk can hit open receivers like he was able to do against Army.

Assuming Sirk doesn't sustain multiple late hits and/or helmet-to-helmet hits. X(

We will be wearing the black/white/black combination on Saturday. This will be the first time this year that we have worn the black helmets. This has been a successful combination for us the past two seasons. In 2013, we wore this combination when we won 13-10 at Virginia Tech. Last year, we wore it for our 51-48 win against Pittsburgh. Hopefully we see another positive result Saturday.

Hopefully this one is won by more than 3 points. :D :happy-bouncyblue: :duke:

Excellent analysis with video clips courtesy of Loran:

This article shows there is nothing schematically wrong with our plays, we just need to consistently execute the offense.

Very excited for the game tomorrow afternoon. I really do feel like this is a tipping point game for our season. A win tomorrow puts us in great shape to compete for the division, and will give this season a 2013 feel. A loss tomorrow would not ruin the season, but it would make it very difficult to win the division with three very tough games ahead.

I think the week off will help our guys greatly. Jela Duncan will have a big game, Sirk will make passes when he needs to, and our defense will continue to be the best in the ACC. This game will be close, but I like our offense to score enough points in this game.
