Oh, no. Those have nothing to do with gravity.

At least, I don't think they do.

My driver's license says 6' but in truth, I'm just shy of 6' (but closer to 6' than 5'11").

That reminds me of one of my favorite John McKay quotes, back when he was coaching the Bucs and they were dreadful:

"Well, we didn't block, but we made up for it by not tackling."

My other favorite was when he was asked about his team's execution. He said:
"I'm in favor of it."

Barely dunking at 6' is pretty sweet! I could barely dunk at 6'2". I wonder if it's too late to start trying again?
I think Shamm conducted an experiment last year regarding this. From my perspective the answer is no(but yes). Never too late to start, maybe too late to actually achieve.

I try to do cartwheels at least once a year to prove I still can. I've you let me bend my knee every so slightly, I can still do the splits too. Running a 58 second quarter mile is beyond me at this point though, sigh.

I need to do a quarter for time, however the fear of serious hamstring failure prevents me.

Clearly I'm being honest, as no guy would lie about being 5'6 :D

Damn, that sucks. Wait, I'm 31. Is it still too late to achieve?

I am almost 38, and havent had chance to try this summer. But am sure to be close. (5'11" with only 7'4" standing reach.) Age is what you make it.

I'm the same height as Duke PA and DA - 5'6"

Take the formulas for how tall a child will be with a grain of salt....using the methods mentioned my daughter should be somewhere between 5'8 and 5'10 (her drs. predicted 5'10 when she was 5 or 6) She is 5'2". What happened? Hormones. 4th grade....with girls generally once the female hormones engage the growth hormones beat a hasty retreat.

Correct. The onset of puberty marks the beginning of the end of growth (growth plates seal), and people who mature earlier generally wind up being shorter.

Yeah, yeah, that's my excuse. I matured earlier.

Not too late to achieve. As far as age being what you make of it, very true. But I would point out that there are few to no 38 year olds doing under 10 seconds in the 100 meters.
