My sisters, who would like to join me in pulling the pointy-toed stilettos out in order to send shin kicks and foot stomps to the rat bastard?
Totally ready to start kicking. What a jerk he is. I can't decide which is worse - moving out without discussing it with his wife or telling their son and swearing him to secrecy. I think involving their son reserves a special place in hell for him.

During my performance evaluation this past week, I came to the realization that I am fighting a losing battle. Instead of talking about anything I've done and setting goals for the coming year, The Boss spent the majority of the meeting talking about how poor Wile E. Coyote is under a lot of pressure to produce, and things are very hard for him. This came right after I pointed out how many publications I had last year and he responded with, "Yes, I know. I see them posted outside your office." The other part of the context was how poor WEC feels as though I'm siding with the instrument company against him. Dude doesn't know jack about my conversations with the instrument company - in which I've been asking for more info for WEC. Also nothing about how I managed to negotiate several thousand dollars off the cost of our service agreements. My take-home from the meeting was that WEC's campaign against me with The Boss has been successful, and the clock on my job is ticking. I've said often enough that my salary is probably viewed as an easy cut too make, and Doogie informed me this week that there's some disgruntlement amongst some of the faculty about my salary. He wouldn't give me specifics, but I'd guess that WEC is behind it.

Interview at Northwestern happens this week. I cannot get out of this hellhole soon enough.

I am so sorry you have to go through all this shit, AD. I hope your interview is a smashing success. We'll be vibing like never before. In the meantime, although the writing has been on the wall for quite some time, I know it is so hurtful to be treated this way. Many hugs and much love to you as this chapter of your career winds up.
