RE: deafening...yes but not unusual. It is may be very difficult given internal politics and there may be many hoops to jump. Proceed on with life and go back to them if somethings changes on your part.

True, but I don't think it is kosher to completely ignore requests for an update. It's not like I'm asking daily. Closest were a week apart.

Two granddaughters. I've already deciding I won't email him to ask for updates any more. He has ignored the past two, stretched approximately 2 weeks apart. Next email will be when/if I have an offer on the table from Northwestern. The clock is ticking at 6 weeks now, with 4 weeks since I've heard anything.

I've mentioned to another friend that the radio silence does bring on a bit of PTSD from when I worked there before. He ignores emails even when he doesn't have the excuse of having his granddaughters in town. I will soon have to make a decision about whether or not to list my condo. If I don't hear anything, I will have no choice but to list.
