Tulane game will kick-off at 9:30 pm Eastern Time and be televised on CBSSports. This suck ass late time slot works for me as I will be TAD in San Diego August 31 - September 4 so it will be a 6:30 kick-off.

Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
Lucky you. My first thought was "So happy it's not a home game". Whew. My couch will be comfy, my halftime nap will be lovely.Bob Green wrote:Tulane game will kick-off at 9:30 pm Eastern Time and be televised on CBSSports. Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
David Cutcliffe comments from the ACC Teleconference:
"I thought @tsirk_1 had a great spring throwing the ball. He's a big guy who can really throw it,"
"When you throw in @_NicoPierre, the three are the best running group we've had. But all three can throw it,"
"@tsirk_1 is our No. 1. Parker Boehme is our No. 2. Parker had a great spring. I gain more & more confidence in both,"
"I thought our receivers had an exceptional spring. Our receivers led the way for our team. I was pleased with their work,"
"The leadership of Kelby Brown and @TheDeavo89 was felt all spring. It was like having 11 coaches and not nine out there,"
"Marquies Price is a midyear guy, and he has a ways to go, but has the potential to be as talented as anybody we've had
"I was really pleased with our starters. AJ Wolf solidified himself starting alongside Carlos Wray. He's ready & showed it

Norfolk is solid Virginia Tech Territory so lots of Hokies' coverage in the local rag. Link below is on the Maroon - Orange game with links to several other articles:

I'm still pissed we gave away the game to VT last year.

Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
Yep. A former FB player in the Omega tent next to ours was royally pissed about that game, too. The highly dependable Martin shoulda made one of the 2 FGs he missed and Cut should not have been so conservative on the drive before Martin missed his 35-40 yard try down in the enclosed end of WW.Bob Green wrote:Norfolk is solid Virginia Tech Territory so lots of Hokies' coverage in the local rag. Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
Game times for the 1st 3 weeks are now known.
@ Tulane 9:30 PM on September 3rd. (already known).
NCCU 6:00 PM on September 12th.
Northwestern 12:30 PM on September 19th.
I wish they would make all September games south of the Mason-Dixon line night games. AW.

Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
Toughest three game stretch according to Andrea Adelson. Pretty hard to disagree.

Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
I like that two of those three games are on the road. We are 7-1 in ACC road games the past two season with the lone loss being the stinker at Miami last year. Anthony Boone couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle in that one.

Coach Cutcliffe previews the tight ends. Lots of optimism over the talent and experience we have at the position. Cut says tight ends at Duke have to be able to line-up next to a tackle and play offensive line; line-up in the backfield and play fullback; line-up wide and play receiver. The position in Duke's offense requires versatility.

This is the area hit hardest by graduation. Carlos Wray is the only returning starter.

Re: 2015 Schedule and Discussion
Interestingly, Coach Cutcliffe never mentions RFr Taariq Shabazz (DE) in his defensive line preview. I posted this observation on TDD and Jim Sumner weighed in and stated Shabazz is having a hard time getting healthy. He only played four games as a high school senior and then was hurt again his redshirt freshman season. He will almost certainly be a non-factor in 2015.
Two incoming freshmen, Marquies Price (6'6" 220) and Trevon McSwain (6'6" 240), could threaten to make the 2-deep roster. Price was an early enrollee and was impressive during the spring. DE is the biggest question mark on the roster.
RJr Allen Jackson (6'5" 260) becoming an impact player at DE this season is one possible scenario. Jackson suffered a bad shoulder injury early on at Duke and has struggled ever since. Hopefully, he is healthy and ready to go as he has the size to stop the run and rush the passer. Jackson wears #96.

Excellent audio clip, Coach Cutcliffe expresses a lot of optimism on the QBs, running game, TE usage, secondary and special teams.
