Lap 119 of 267: CAUTION: Ragan runs into the back of Wise, and then Ragan goes skidding and spinning into the infield. Ragan is stuck in the mud. He is driving the SpongeBob car; he is parked right on the SpongeBob painted on the infield.
Smoke gets the Lucky Dog.

78 laps to go: CAUTION: Bowyer tangles with Stenhouse, then goes spinning.
Edwards benefits the most, as he was caught with a bad pitting strategy.
Logano pitted too early, and had to restart in the back of the line.

72 laps to go: CAUTION: Erik Jones loses it on a turn, hits the wall. Big damage on the right side; and into the garage.
So much for my night in fantasy league.

12 laps to go: CAUTION: Stenhouse bounces off the wall.
That may give some drivers enough fuel to complete the race, but the tires may be what forces folks into the pits.
Harvick, Truex, and most racers come in; 1/3 of the drivers didn't pit, including JG.
Menard gets an uncontrolled tire violation.

On the restart, and we're down to 3 laps to go, and it's now down to JJ and Harvick... but JJ is holding his lead.

For the Charlotte race this weekend, many (maybe all) of the cars are honoring the memories of soldiers and sailors.

I taught Jon Bowling in the police academy and was friends with his dad. I can still feel the dead feeling I had when I got the call about his death, and was one of the 5000 people (which frankly might be an understatement of the crowd) at the visitation. He was a fine person and a great police officer.

May his memory be blessed.
