ACCT: Duke vs Notre Dame

Post by Bob Green » March 13th, 2015, 4:59 am

Semi-finals at 9 pm. The Irish are going to be looking for some payback for that 30 point beatdown we gave 'em in Cameron.

I thought Miami might pull it out last night, but they were obviously tired. I hope the same fate awaits ND tonight; I guarantee you we will be the more rested team.
Even though we only have 8 players. (Drink!)

And Coach K dismissed Rasheed Sulaimon, the first time he's done that in his coaching career. :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

Lucky, lucky Native. :happy-smileyinthebox: You never know where he'll pop up! His buddy, Sean, gave him a guest pass for the tourney. He's been sitting with the parents, etc. behind the bench.

Go Duke! whup up on them Irish guys.

This was a tough game to watch. The guys showed no fight or effort for the first 25 minutes. Quinn Cook was 2/12 and missed so many open shots when they needed him.

This is one of the frustrating truths about college basketball. The 35-game regular season really means nothing. Every team is defined by a few games in March. I really hope Quinn's career is remembered by a great run in the NCAA tournament. If he goes cold for another game next weekend, it could be a really sad ending to an amazing senior year for him.

This loss will give the team two days to rest before gearing up for next weekend. Let's go Duke!

And a good chance we pissed away a 1 seed in the process, especially with UVa losing to the holes. X(

I'm curious why the fascination with a #1 seed?

The games may be a bit easier, but the numbers are compelling as far as even #2 seeds win 94.2%(data through 2014). Yes, it has happened to us before...

I'm with you, Ymo. If your team has what it takes to win it all, they can be a 64th seed and prevail.
