Although they had a diagnosis, Molly was still having problems with dizziness/light headedness/etc. They had to withdraw her from school and will home school so that she can hopefully start back with her class in the fall.

The decided to keep their appointment at Mayo Clinic. Things went well yesterday and today was to be more testing. Unfortunately, Molly started having flu like symptoms this morning so they had to cancel this mornings appointments. They hope to be able to make it to the afternoon appointments.

You know what to do - please send those powerful CTN prayers/vibes/hugs toward Rochester, MN for Molly, her mom Rachel, dad Brandon, and brother Conner.

The diagnosis is POTS - postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Although there is a diagnosis, the treatment isn't as clear cut. Each patient responds differently and it takes a while to find the right combination. They kept the apptintment at Mayo even though they have a local doctor - I think the doctor up there is a mentor to the doctor down here. I have jokingly started calling Mayo Leawood UMC North as quite a few members from my church family have gone up there - it is an amazing place. I'm hopeful that Molly starts feeling better so they can continue with the testing.

Thank you all for your prayers and vibes and hugs. I know that Molly and her family can feel them.

Vibing and praying for Molly. . .

I'm bringing this prayer request back to the top. It was determined that she doesn't have POTS. They are classifying the events as conversion disorder. Apparently, stress causes her body to react in sudden ways - migraines, numbness in her legs, etc. She had started back to school this week - doing 2 hours a day to ease back in after the last episode with numbness/no feeling in her legs. She went to get out of the car and both legs went numb - without the usual tingling feeling that she gets. It is so frustrating. The stress that supposedly causes this to happen isn't always obvious - and sometimes it is good stress like celebrating her birthday.

Any prayers and vibes you can send her way would be greatly appreciated. Also for her family - Rachel, Brandon, & brother Connor. It is hard on all of them.
