Duke at Virginia Tech

Post by wolfpackdevil » February 24th, 2015, 6:12 pm

Saturday's win against Clemson was one of the most impressive performances I have seen this year by Duke. I hope to see the same energy level tomorrow night in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech is one of the least talented teams in the ACC, but they have a great coach in Buzz Williams who has them prepared for big games. Duke has opened as a 16 point favorite tomorrow.

Hopefully Jah will play, but I wouldn't mind seeing him get a little more rest. We should be able to win soundly tomorrow without him on the floor. Even if he does suit up tomorrow night I doubt he will play more than 15 or 20 minutes.

Virginia Tech is a really good 3-point shooting team so we must defend the 3-point line. I agree with you on Okafor, if he is ready to go that is fine, but I've no problem with him sitting for another game or seeing minimum playing time.

It is time to smack the Chokies!!!

Marshall Plumlee isn't much help. He played six minutes and grabbed two defensive rebounds, while committing a couple of fouls. Zero points, zero blocks, zero steals, zero offensive rebounds to kick out to a shooter so zero assists. He is nowhere close to his brothers as a ball player. I suspect he never will be seeing as this is his fourth year in the program. I'll gladly eat crow if he turns into a contributor next season.

K has had a lot of players have really good senior years after not contributing much early in their careers. Sadly, I agree with you on this one Bob. His 4 foul, 7 minute performance a couple weeks ago lends additional evidence to this. :(

Big Jah and 30 points on a bum ankle!!!
Dear Jah,
Please practice your Free Throws!!!! The Hokies were all over you! You must sink those FTs! You are a great player! Ask, Quinn to practice with you on your Free Throw shooting. He is 89%.
Go Duke,
