Duke Vs. The Cheaters

Post by CameronBornAndBred » February 16th, 2015, 8:11 am

I never like playing teams coming off a loss, especially not a bad one. UNC has lost 3 of it's last 4, so add that fuel to their fire. That being said...we are the better team, and we are playing at home, I expect us to win. I would LOVE to see a blowout, but I'm thinking it will be a very close game that will keep EMT's on standby. My best case scenario (besides blowout) is that we are at least up by 2 possessions with a minute left.
Go To Hell Carolina, Go To Hell!!!! :duke: :duke: :9f:

Dick Vitale will not be calling the game; it's the first time since he's been on the air that he's not called the Duke-UNC game.

Best news I have heard in a long time. I loved Dickie V years ago, but he has hit a point where he is no longer capable of calling a basketball game at a high level. ESPN has clearly been pushing him out the door this year. Schulman and Bilas have been the headliner duo for all of the big-time games this year.

Carolina will be fired up because they are playing Duke, but in the end I think we will win by 8 or 9 points.

Should be a great game. I watched Carolina on Saturday and they were so lost offensively. Paige will have to have a spectacular game if they have any chance tomorrow. The Meeks/Okafor matchup will be fun to watch. I agree with the margin, 82-73

The Bus will have to travel from Chapel Hill over to Cameron Indoor.
It snowed and sleeted this time last year. :(

Duke is currently favored by 8.5 points. Vegas agrees with Wolfpackdevil and I.

Keys to the game:

1. Keep Carolina off the offensive glass
2. Push tempo - we are a great transition basketball team
3. Get back on defense! Play M2M defense with just enough sag to deny interior passes and force Carolina to shoot perimeter shots

Neither team can afford a key player(s) sitting on the bench with foul trouble. The coach who adjusts best to how the refs are calling the game will have an advantage.

I'm seeing that this will be the shirt worn by the crazies tonight? I respect it but hope they don't wear them the whole game...

I hope they do not wear those shirts. Be respectful by giving Dean Smith a moment of silence and then get on with the game. My :twocents:
