Old Friends
I spent the evening tonight hosting a friend from back in my high school days. (We didn't go to the same school, but had the same mutual friends). I had one of the best nights I can remember in a long time. The cool thing was, we didn't spend our time reminiscing (we did a little), but talking about what each of us of are up to now and finding we have even more in common now than we did back then. I reconnected with him through facebook, beyond that I don't think I had talked to him in 15 years. Anyways, tonight was great. Anyone else have any good reconnection stories? What about disaster reconnection stories?

Re: Old Friends
As I get closer to moving back to the right coast, I have been able to reconnect with my old friends. Some are in Crappel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh but most are in Charlotte. It's been really wonderful to feel welcomed back, and I can't wait to see them all.
But, one of the tough parts about moving around so much has been saying goodbye to the friends I've met. While I am looking forward to the move back east, I am also starting to feel the burden of saying goodbye, again. I have met some wonderful people out here in la-la land, and it's gonna suck to leave them behind.
I suppose one of the cool things about this, is that I'll always have friends on the west coast. (Minus one once we all convince Sue to head back east.)

You get me the job, I'm there.
You don't walk the plank in NJ. You just disappear. Forever.
