We sang an "earlier" and very slightly different version of that. But, of course, the sentiments were the same. GTHc,GTH.

I was of the understanding it originated from some Ivy school's rendition of Cornell's "fight" song:

High above Cayuga's waters.
Comes an awful smell.

Some say it's Cayuga's waters.
I say it's Cornell.

Same tune.
