Duke(24) @ Pitt 12:00, 11/1 ESPNU

Post by CameronBornAndBred » October 20th, 2014, 5:37 pm

Another lame kickoff time, but at least it isn't at home. Pitt plays VT this weekend, a team that has gone down the tubes since their upset of Ohio State. That will be a good game to watch, since we are playing both in a quick time span.

What the hell TV Preview was I looking at?!
Grrr..well..let's see what that changes.
Not much. Pitt is now facing another two loss in a row team, only difference being that is one that we have beaten vs. one that we haven't. (yet).
:D
That will be a good game to watch, too. And maybe whoever the Hokies lose to.

Just bought tickets for the game!!

My girlfriend and I will be sitting on the 40 yard-line, lower level, behind the Duke sideline! Do not ask me why I decided to do this, because I have no idea. Only explanation is that we love us some Duke football!

From the ESPN blog's "upset watch".
No. 24 Duke (6-1, 2-1) at Pitt (4-4, 2-2), noon, ESPNU. Line: Pitt by 3.5. These two teams played a wild game a season ago, with the Panthers prevailing 58-55. Duke comes into this one off a bye, while Pitt has to shake off a miserable game against Georgia Tech in which it turned the ball over on its first five possessions. Duke has been the better team this season, so it is a little surprising to see Pitt favored, especially off such a bad performance.
No shit. Understatement of the whole write-up.

Anyone look up the over/under on this game? 110 maybe? Sort of? I can't imagine a shoot out again this year.

The over/under is 51 with Pitt favored by 4. I say Duke 34, Pitt 20.

ESPN blog looks at both teams' D.
"It's hard to swallow exactly what happened," Cash said of watching last year's game against the Panthers.

Huge shout out to Crowder. This was a game that he shone in, and it was awesome to watch. Nice timing too, with November now officially here.

Oh. My. God.

What a game! Still can't believe he missed that FG. What a job by our boys in overtime. Two great touchdown drives and a great stop by our defense in the second period. You need a little luck like we had today to have a CHAMPIONSHIP season.

We will be favored in all four of our remaining games. November is going to be fun.
