Shin kicks to obnoxious, oblivious RR.

My take is, if BM can't get published, then RR doesn't want ANYONE published. She wants to take her ball and bat and go home.
Big time vibes for BGS!

Prayers and vibes for Uncle Arkie Dukie! Hugs to you, AD!

Here's my theory: it's retaliation. I had to tell Road Runner on Friday that I had been chatting with someone about taking another job on campus (think I've mentioned this before), but I told her that I was no longer interested in said job. It could potentially work in her favor if I take the job. In fact, Road Runner spoke with the person who would potentially be my boss on Monday about access to his instrumentation (that's the reason I had to fill her in on things). She came back to my office and told me that she was "in" (has access to the instruments) and had told the potential boss that she pays a percentage of my salary. My guess is that she used this as a bargaining chip in order to get to the instruments. I haven't spoken with The Boss yet about any of this, but I believe I need to do so ASAP so that I don't get forced into switching to a job I am no longer interested in. So, she's either ticked because I looked into this job without telling her OR she's pissed because she was planning to use the move to her benefit and I'm not falling into line.
Road Runner allegedly told the other guy that it would be better for her if I was there rather than leaving the institution because that would be catastrophic to her research. Well, biyotch, reneging on promises and ticking me off to the point where I am going to extricate myself from your research could also be "catastrophic." The publication went away, as did the verbal promise to use one of my findings as the basis for a research proposal. I now have in writing that all of my findings are her property, even if she's not interested in following up. That just means I'll go elsewhere, and she is not going to be informed AT ALL until I have all my ducks in a row.
Road Runner has a long and distinguished history of retaliatory measures that effectively cut off her nose to spite her face. This is just the most recent example and shows why BGS cannot let RR find out about her upcoming (and yet to be scheduled) interview trip.

I would definitely speak to The Boss as soon as possible. You have no idea how RR might spin the other gig to get her way, and you could end up in a job you do not want. (yes, I know you have one of those right now....but I assume the other one would be worse) RR acts as though that institution is the only lab on the planet...which is clearly not the case. BGS better keep that interview on the down low...hmmm...so Arkie, how do YOU feel about Switzerland

This has been the mildest temperatures in the month of August for North Carolina (Triangle, Triad and Piedmont areas). Lots of rain in July and August. No drought this year, which is good.

I've been so very busy putting out brush fires here at the "crisis center" I've not been able to check in very much. I'm going to have to back track and try to get a handle on what all has been going on. Meanwhile, the first thing I notice is that vibes are definitely in order for you and your uncle, Arkie. How's he doing today? Any news on that?
Just so much chaos going on around the world and in our personal lives as well -- sometimes it's overwhelming. What would we do without crazietalk to keep us relatively sane?
Now I gotta run to take food and flowers to a dear friend whose husband is being admitted to an Alzheimers unit today, See what I mean?
Crazie love to all of you and more later. Ima

Ordered parts for my '68 Firebird convertible project's engine. Also took the cylinder heads and intake manifold to a guy who has been doing this type of work since the mid-70's.
