If you don't tell RR, how will she find out? By a call from The Boss, or another way? :9f:

My guess is that she will find out from The Boss.

What a fun-filled day. I emailed Natasha about something and received a response that she was going to be working from home, waiting for a cable repair person. BGS later told me that Natasha came into the lab to tell them she was going home, and it appeared that she had been crying. My money says that she received notification from HR that BM filed a hostile workplace complaint against her. I asked her to call me but never heard back. I'm a bit worried about her. Seriously, BM is a toxic bitch. I am really glad now that I did not send a response to BM's nasty gram about authorship.

BGS went into the lab to analyze some samples on the instrument that BM was supposedly managing. Since she has been sabotaged before, she checked the instrument settings in the tune file. Lo and behold, a couple of key values had magically been changed. The tune file in question was created by Boris, BGS and me when we tuned and calibrated the instrument (recall that Bar Minion was "sick" that day), and the new settings were NOT the ones we had saved. Last person to be seen messing with the tune file was ... drum roll ... Bar Minion. BGS got a screen capture of the modified tune file and I sent a report to Road Runner.

This is not the first time she has basically sabotaged her colleagues by altering instrument settings, but this is the first time we have recorded it. Unfortunately we have no direct evidence that she's the one who altered the file, but everyone knows that's what happened. BM is the one responsible for tuning and calibrating the instrument. If anyone other than her is set to use the instrument after her, she messes up the settings so their experiment will not work. She's done this to BGS so many times that she routinely checks all the settings before starting. BGS had given up on complaining about BM because Road Runner never believed her. So, alas and alack, the many other instances were not documented.

BM had a meeting with The Boss today. I saw her later, headed back to her office, carrying a folder. Methinks she is sharing her "hostile workplace" documentation with The Boss. Lord only knows what she told him. I would bet money that she scheduled the meeting with The Boss after she postponed her required meeting with Human Resources. If BM is ultimately terminated, it is going to require a police escort out of the building. Bitch is not going to go quietly, and she is going to cause a shitload of trouble on her way out the door.
Man, talk about a hostile workplace environment. Vibes for you, AD, and for the good guys/gals in the place. Keep us posted. :duke: :9f:
True that. Quick question: should I give Road Runner a heads-up on BM's meeting with The Boss or let her find out on her own? She is out of town until late tomorrow afternoon.
It seems to me that the boss is going to have to discuss this RR, so I would stay out of the way and leave it to them.

I agree. If she is going to hear from The Boss, I would leave it with The Boss. If she was going to hear it from somewhere that you felt would put you and the people in the white hats at a disadvantage, I would feel differently.

You need to show with a camera and create a gallery. The best 12 can be used for a calendar that the county could sell as a fund raiser for charity.

That's the direction I was leaning. Aside from that, there's a big part of me that believes RR brought this on herself by enabling BM's behavior up to this point. She is now getting a taste of what all of us have dealt with for the past two years. Much better to stay out of that aspect and let things fall where they will.

Definitely stay low. Documenting BM's behavior in areas where it impacts you directly and/or sharing that information with RR is fine. The Boss meeting does not impact you directly. RR will find out through normal channels.

Counsel hearings this morning. A defendant named MEL BROOKS failed to appear.

Pity. I would have asked for his autograph. :9f:

Today's stupid shirt was on a woman leaving juvenile/domestic relations court. (It's a civil court day, so they are doing custody/support/visitation. I don't know what she was there for.) Her shirt depicted a skull that had been impaled with a sword, and over the logo it said "VENGEANCE."

Wanna bet she didn't get custody? :9f:

I think that she and the guy I saw in court a while back with the "Show No Mercy" tattoo could be the representatives for the month of June on your handy-dandy what-not-to-wear to court calendar, LG.

Our funny incident of the day in criminal court occurred when the judge called "Maurice Moore" to come up for his initial arraignment. This young man came up to the defense table, and when the judge asked him if he intended to proceed with or without an attorney on the charges of larceny of a motor vehicle, the guy's eyes got very wide, and he said, "Your honor, I'm not here on that charge."

The judge said, "Are you Maurice Eugene Moore?"

The young man said, "No, I'm Maurice Antwan Moore."

Suddenly, I heard this man on the front row snore, raise his head sleepily and say, "Did you say Maurice Eugene Moore?"

The judge said, "Yes."

The front row guy said, "That's me," as he stumbled to the defense table.

"Whew!" exhaled Maurice Antwan Moore as he returned to his seat back in the courtroom.

Everyone laughed. What are the odds that a courtroom would have two Maurice Moores (and that one of them would be asleep on the front row when his name was called)?
