Group Art Show in Kinston
If anyone is in Kinston during the months of June/July, I will be participating in a group show with six other New Bern artists. Our show will be titled "Uncommon Ground II". The same group had a show last year in Wilson, and was invited by the folks in Kinston since they were impressed with their work. One of the artists could not participate, so the others asked me to come on board.
The show will open June 5th at the Hampton Gallery, but we won't have the reception until Thursday the 19th, 5-8pm. It should be a great show; all of the artists exhibiting in it are accomplished professionals. I'll have about 15 paintings in it, focusing on landscapes with a couple portraits.

How perfect! I'm working in Goldsboro on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can swing by the reception on my way home after work!

Maybe we could get a reservation at the Chef and the Farmer for a late dinner that evening following the reception?

That would be fun...but I'm heading off to Chez Townsend right after the reception and don't want to get in too late. TNT and I are going to be working on TBCC's new tailgating tent that weekend.CathyCA wrote:

Well, I'll still make a reservation for The Chef and The Farmer, but it won't be a late one. I'm sorry you won't be able to join us that evening.CameronBornAndBred wrote:That would be fun...but I'm heading off to Chez Townsend right after the reception and don't want to get in too late. TNT's daughter and volleyball prodigy, Piper, is going to be in a tournament in Orlando that weekend, so the construction of the Tent Mahal will have to wait for another day.

Stevo will be joining us. We have both been dying to try this restaurant. How cool that we get to share the experience with some of our favorite people!

By the way, I visited the gallery last weekend; it is gorgeous. Definitely the nicest walls I've hung my paintings on.
And yay to Stevo!

I just called for the reservation. The only time they had a table available for 6 people on June 19 was at 8:00 p.m., so I took it.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Can we do 7:30? Or..Do 7:00 and Julie will go with you, and she can order for me. She can call and ask what I want.CathyCA wrote:

Let me know if 8:00 p.m. on June 29 works for you all or not.
