Rodney Hood to NBA

Post by wolfpackdevil » April 15th, 2014, 2:10 pm

Adam Zagoria broke this story earlier today on twitter. Very trustworthy source. We will also hear Jabari's decision tomorrow. This was something that seemed inevitable. Rodney is projected to be a top-12 pick, seems like no reason for him to return. We only got to see him in action for one year, but he did show why he was so popular among the coaches by the way he performed. Good luck Rod!

No surprise that Hood is gone. His time is now. I'm glad we were able to enjoy watching him for one season and wish him the best of luck in the NBA!

I don't doubt that Rodney is going, but Adam Zagoria is the same guy who said pretty definitively that both Rodney and Montrezl Harrell were going back in late March. Harrell obviously is staying at Louisville. I don't believe anything anyone says until it is said by our players.

I agree with that completely. But if you remember the press conference near the end of the season where K accidentally said, "I wish we had Rodney for another year." Looks like he has known for a while.

Yup. And he should go. He'll be a first rounder, maybe even higher than expected. Has the skills and the conditioning (pay attention Jalardy!) to make it through a long season. And of course, he's older. I am going to look forward to following his stats in the NBA. (But not watching, I hate the NBA game, haha!)
