Native is off for an internship in NYC this summer. He's pumped. But the trick will be finding a place to sleep in or around Greenwich Village. This is definitely gonna cost more than he makes! All apartment hunting vibes are appreciated. (Any big ideas on solving this prob for the country mouse as well!)

Good Luck to Native!
I don't what everyone else thinks, but to me, the only logical solution is that he should go live with loran16.

Happy hunting vibes to Native!
Maybe there are other Duke students doing internships in NYC to share with or is there any way to make contact with other interns in the same company (I've forgotten - is is Google?). I know you'll end up in a great spot!!

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Congratulations to Native! I sent a text to nephew Alex to see if his friend in NYC has any ideas to pass along. I've meet Torey several times and she is delightful and I would trust her recommendations. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
Life is good!

Haven't been on here in ages! Thanks for the vibes — you guys rock!
For anyone who's interested, the internship's with a company called SumAll (
http://www.sumall.com). Their office is located in SoHo, but they're moving to the Financial District. Right now, my apartment is located on Wall Street in the Cipriani residences in 55 Wall. Pretty sweet!

Yep. Native continues to come up smelling roses even though we keep telling him life can't possibly always be this good. Still he continues to work very hard and expect the best to come from his efforts. A positive outlook coupled with great effort has continued to reward him.
BTW, he's been named Head Line Monitor in Cameron for his senior season......THE job he's had his eye on since he was a nine year old ball boy.
He can't believe it's nearly over. I hope I live long enough to see what he and his brother turn out to be. They are both nothing but joy to us.
