Re: LTE 2.0
I forgot to say "good morning" this morning. I had a heavy caseload in criminal court, and court didn't start until 10:30, so we were whirling and twirling this morning to make things happen.
Anywho, during a lull in the action, the assistant district attorney called out, "Is Clarence Clemons in the courtroom?" Two other defense attorneys and I said in unison, "No, he's dead." (I amuse myself!)

Re: LTE 2.0
I mentioned my friend Christian in the "good morning" thread today, said he had an abnormality in his MRI.
He has a brain tumor. A bad one. He is going to be moved to Duke Hospital tonight or tomorrow. We were there when one doctor came to see him, and it sounds very, very bleak. He is like the brother to me that I don't have (I have no siblings) and I feel like a ton of bricks has crashed down.

Serious vibes, prayers, and hugs. Let me know if you need ANYTHING. I have a great rapport with Dr. Allan Freidman former head of neurosurgery.lawgrad91 wrote:I mentioned my friend Christian in the "good morning" thread today, said he had an abnormality in his MRI.

Huge vibes! I am an only child myself and I understand the like-a-brother bond completely. We are here for you.

If he needs a second opinion, my advice would be to go to MD Anderson in Houston - especially if it's glioblastoma. I'm not sure what the rankings are for various hospitals/doctors in terms of treating GBM, but MDA has got to be up there. Many people are sent to MDA after this type of diagnosis. They do some pretty miraculous things.

Sen. Kennedy went to Duke for a second opinion. At Duke, Christian is in THE best hands. Not that I'm biased. ;)ArkieDukie wrote:I'm so sorry, lawgrad! Re: LTE 2.0
Going to see Christian tomorrow afternoon. I'm having trouble piecing together exactly what is going on (he runs off on major tangents when I talk to him), and he will know more tomorrow, but apparently surgery Monday is a possibility.
Thanks for all the prayers, vibes, good thoughts and wishes, and the virtual hugs. You guys are my family.
