Good morning! Last of the cold weather for us in the next couple of days, then it is mid-60s to 80s for the rest of the week.

Harrumph!
One would think that the local school system would use better judgment than to call families at 5:20 a.m. to announce an early DISMISSAL. AND. . . use better judgment than to call back at 5:45 a.m. with the same DISMISSAL announcement in Spanish. I don't understand why a call about early DISMISSAL couldn't have waited two hours.
BTW, there is nothing falling from the sky right now. Nada.

1. To make sure people are home and have not left for work - seriously calling at 7:20 you would find people at work or on the road to workCathyCA wrote:Harrumph!

2. To give as much time as possible for people to make alternate arrangements for their kids.
I totally get the early call. Would have appreciated it when WindsorsDaughter was in school. The same call in Spanish is stupid. It is a robo call - there is a language indicator I am sure, and if not there should be. Calling twice is not cool.

Re: The Official "Good Morning" Thread
They could have scrolled it on TV, texted it to us, sent it on the PowerSchool announcement (via email), announced it on the radio. I do not understand why waking us from a deep sleep was a good idea. It scared me half to death. Twice.windsor wrote:1.
