An older lady in the class was fussing about unc, her alma mater, which had gotten away from their true academic focus and gone too heavily into sports. It was quiet for a second, and then a very quiet gentleman leaned forward and asked, "Is it true they are playing the rest of their games this year in Central Prison?"

Hysterical!
I taught my Sunday School class yesterday, and had four Duke grads in my class. Before we discussed Jacob and Esau, we discussed Duke and NCSU.

Richard Sherman is an ASS.
He has an undergraduate degree in communications from Stanford, and he began working on a master's in international relations at Stanford, but that wasn't apparent at all last night. You can take the boy out of Compton, but you can't take the Compton out of the boy.

Most definitely by us. I know several NC State fans who enjoyed it as well. Truly a beautiful thing.

....but, THEN I started watching some of Kansas/Baylor. EEEEK. That's another whole level. And that Jayhawk crowd is a thing of beauty.
On a brighter note, I got a glimpse of the future watching a little of Okafor in a high school game a while ago. Sure wish Jabari would stay another year and play along side him. Maybe, huh? Maybe?

They were very good last year too, They gave Duke a very tough game in the NCAAs up in Philly last spring. McDermott is more than just a scorer; he can pass and rebound. Their shooting last night was unreal.
