I have this on my facebook, but thought I would put it here as well.

dylanclose.jpg

Dylan 8/31/1998 - 1/10/2014
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”
- Anonymous

A huge piece of my heart left last night, as we had to let Dylan go. He was fit and happy until they end, he took last breath in my arms. He was my heart dog, my best boy. My demon poodle. You will find better agility dogs, you will find faster agility dogs (maybe) but you will not find one who loved it more. I would give back every title, every placement and every Q for one more run with him.

I miss him beyond words.

Loni, I am so sorry to hear about Dylan. I know that you loved him beyond measure, and he loved you even more. Certainly, he is waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Windsor. There is such a special bond between a dog and their human - they leave a big hole when they leave us. That is a wonderful picture of him - doing what he obviously enjoys with you. :ymhug:

Windsor, So sorry to read about the passing of Dylan. I know your heart is breaking. Our pets are Our Babies and a huge part of our families. Thinking about you during your loss of your pet.

I found comfort watching the movie, "All Dogs Go to Heaven." :ymhug: :ymhug:

Windsor,

So sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Dylan. His picture reminded me of the family dog we had during my youth, Tiffany. She was a poodle also(blue), bordering between miniature and standard in size. I was opposed to having a poodle(not macho enough). When it was winter she started sleeping on my feet. I was all hers after that.

I enjoyed the NC Symphony performing works by Elgar, Mozart and Beethoven tonight far more than the performances of Cook, Hood, Thornton, Hairston, Parker, Dawkins and Sulaimon I saw in SC this afternoon.

One group was likely in tune with each other, the other was clearly not.

That is a succinct and excellent analysis/observation. With a nice pun included, too.

Hope your heart heals soon, Windsor. We're going to lose Lucky in the near future. Only a matter of how long. And DukeRah's Murphy has cancer, too. We're trying to prepare ourselves but, as you know, it's very hard to do. Hang in there. We're hangin' with you and understand completely. :ymhug:

I am so sorry to hear that Ima. It is never easy. I thought I was prepared for Dylan. I was not. I am still devastated. He was my first competition dog and we logged thousands of training/traveling/trialing hours. I am glad he went quickly - he was playing with me that morning, and had eaten a good breakfast. He was still chomping cookies until the end. He's not the first dog I have lost, but he has been the hardest.

I do so wish we could have them for longer. :O3 :O3 :O3
