Duke at Notre Dame
The conference schedule tips off today at 4 pm against Notre Dame. The warm up games are over so it is time to get serious. I'll be watching the minutes distribution closely today and over the next several games to see how the rotation is going to go. While I believe Thornton and Hairston will continue to start and play significant minutes, Sulaimon, Dawkins and Jefferson make us a more explosive team.
Dawkins really needs to keep his hot hand going in 2014!
Will Marshall Plumlee play any meaningful minutes? We are going to need that guys size at some point so I hope the answer is yes. I see him as #9 in the rotation ahead of Jones and Ojeleye.

Yep, this is potentially a big game for Marshall, provided he gets some court time. Finally really looking forward to basketball now that football is over with. What a strange (and great) feeling that was to still be enjoying focusing on our football team.
Today will probably be full of emotions for K, still coping with the loss of his brother as well as facing one of the guys he mentored for the first time as a conference foe.

Marshall is playing in his Home State of Indiana today. Probably a few more family members and friends to cheer on The Blue Devils! Hope Marshall has playing minutes and comes up with Big Plays!
Obviously Coach K will be emotional today, since yesterday was the Funeral Service for his brother, Bill.
And the first game of the ACC schedule vs Notre Dame, and former Assistant, Mike Brey. Their leading scorer is out the rest of the season, and they are still trying to readjust.
Let's Go Duke!
NC State (Home game) just lost their conference opener to Pitt. State had a good 1st half. Pitt rolled back 74 - 62 final
Let's Go Duke!!! Beat the Irish!

I keep reading headlines about today's "upset". Having watched our team for the first time, I'm not surprised at all. We are a good team, but the gaps are fairly obvious.

I really hope Wake Forest beats Carolina today because tomorrow is going to suck at work if the Heels win. I had to put up with "Carolina won their bowl game" comments on Thursday and Friday.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Fuck, what a disaster. No D, no O, no rhythm. Good lord.
We had zero, zilch, nada ball movement yesterday. It was painful to watch our offense.

Hope you responded to the bowl game comment with: 27-25. Coastal Division champs. No probation.

Re: Duke at Notre Dame
The thing that bothered me most about yesterday was that we got out played by a dude in tights.
Okay, okay so maybe they weren't tights, but come on.
