Kickoff Time for First Game
Did anybody notice in their ticket package that the kickoff time is 4PM (1600 hours for you Naval types )?
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.
Re: Kickoff Time for First Game
This year, the opening home game is not Employee Appreciation Day. EAD has been moved to the Troy game, which is also Homecoming. That should be a real circus! I suppose they figure that NCCU will bring plenty of fans to Wally Wade, but last year they really didn't.

WOOOHOOOO!!!!! It is so close to opening day I can taste the Costcos!
This is the SD thread, for discussing anything you want. We'll be posting the M&A thread once TNT and I get some ideas together this week. We had a great trial run with the new grill this weekend at my house, and fed about 100 people using only one bag of charcoal. It was pretty amazing. One thing about the new grill....that thing is HEAVY! So we may alter our usual seating pattern and leave the grill in the tent below and move the tv and tables to the tents above. Both TNT's and my backs will feel better about doing that.
Looking forward to seeing everyone...less than 2 weeks to go!

At one point in my life, probably about the 8th grade, I wanted to be a weatherman. The good news is there is no current tropical storm activity in the Atlantic Ocean. The bad news is there are lots and lots of clouds:

We figure we are going to get payback at some point this year for the near perfect weather we had for all our games last year.

I'm looking for four extra tickets if anyone has any available. My sister-in-law and her family will be coming with us to the game.

I have taken over a clinic in Rocky Mount which means I am away from home 2 nights a week. Sooooo, I will now be a TBCC emeritus cook. I hope to make a few games this season, but it probably won't be more than 2 or 3. Y'all yell loud for me and eat lots of ABTs

The NC Central football head coach is waiting a court date involving a violation of a Domestic Violence order. He is suspeneded until that case is resolved.

Can we set up the DVD toss court (heh, heh, I called it a "court") in the parking lot?Postby windsor » August 22nd, 2013, 6:16 am
In other news, I think LawGrad needs her own reality tv lawyer show. I also think tailgates need a DVD toss competition (distance an accuracy)

The extended forecast at the N&O is predicting "mostly sunny with a high of 98" on August 31. It is going to be hot folks so be prepared to breakout the sunblock and drink plenty of water. As far as future games go, significant tropical storm activity is expected to develop in September:

With home games on September 14, 21 and 28; we are probably going to have a wet Saturday along the way. Perhaps we will get lucky and it will rain on the 7th.

I can't imagine why Duke moved the annual employee day to the Troy game. Maybe because they didn't want half of their staff calling in sick with heat stroke?

For whatever it's worth, The Weather Channel has been predicting a high in the mid 80s for game day. http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail2/27708Bob Green wrote:The extended forecast at the N&O is predicting "mostly sunny with a high of 98" on August 31. When we get a little closer, the WRAL forecast will include Saturday. Their forecasts are usually pretty accurate.

I might volunteer a few bucks out of the donation jar to watch you do that.devildeac wrote:The party of devildeacs will total 4. We will bring a large fancy tricolor pasta salad (but will [most likely] NOT stuff it down TNT's shorts ), a bomber or two for sharing/tasting and 6-12 brews for trading.
