Bad day for Butler

Post by CameronBornAndBred » July 3rd, 2013, 6:52 pm

Aaaaaaaaah seeeya!
I feel bad for them. Shitty time to leave. No hot coaches available, recruiting and summer ball is in full swing. Someone OY suggested Wojo, I like that.

I hoped he would build Butler into a power house so some hate could be directed at them instead of us :D

I thought he was smarter than this. If he's this big a fool (bless his heart) I guess we didn't want him anyway.

I feel the same way. Many coaches who have left collage BB teams for the NBA didn't stay long. I wish him the best. If he doesn't make it, he will not have a problem getting another collage coaching position, IMO.

The Best to Brad Stevens in Boston!!!! One of our Duke boys will be headed that way, soon. Be announced next week....... So keep your ears open!!!! :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

I was shocked to hear that Brad left Butler! But other college coaches have, and either stayed with NBA or went back to College level (Rick Pitino).

Butler Head Coach job is available!!! Would be a good job for WOJO to pursue!!!!!

We know we have Coach K through Duke season 2015/16. Because K said when he decided on the Olympics coaching position, that his Duke job keeps him fresh and focused on basketball.

And maybe, when K retires, no time soon................ Brad Stevens, Chris Collins , etc will interview for the Duke HC job. NO Time Soon!!!!!

Yes, but to be fair, I think everyone [knew/hoped] he would eventually take a job [elsewhere/at Duke]. A coach as good as Stevens will always leave a team in a tough spot just because of his/her absence, regardless of when he/she chooses to leave.

I've decided I want Wojo to go to Butler and Laettner take his place coaching our big men. Wouldn't hurt to add Hurley to the bench, too. Picture THAT! Then Krzyzewski could go to Vegas to drink wine any time he wanted, leaving them in charge without a worry in the world.

Then the threads about Laettner not being a "real" big could start.

I read online yesterday that Butler had interviewed 2 people for the HC job. One is an asst coach already at Butler, and an outside person. No mention of Wojo.

I was told on Wednesday........... looked for announcement on the 10th.......... look for a Player announcement to the Boston Celtics!!!!! Gotta love our Duke boys on teams with Great Coaches and in rebuilding their team!!! Boston will be a young team with a great coach!!!!

This gives someone else an opportunity at Butler!!!!!

They are joined on the roster by NBA veterans Nolan Smith and Darius Johnson-Odom as well 2013 NBA D-League Rookie of the Year Tony Mitchell....
