NFL Draft Watch
Will Conner and Sean be drafted? We'll find out soon. Here's a cool article about Conner working out with Scottie Montgomery in preparation. Montgomery was the guy who recruited CV before he took off to Pittsburgh. Now that he is back, he was able to work with him before he left.

Re: NFL Draft Watch
Sean has received good press from some of the Talking Heads so hopefully they know what they are talking about. Actually, I will not be surprised to see Sean drafted before Conner. We need both picked as it will be huge for the program. Recruiting is picking up and having a couple of skill position guys drafted will add to the momentum. Exciting times to be a Duke football fan.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Will Connor and Sean be drafted?

Re: NFL Draft Watch
Peter Schrager has picked every draft option, all 250 of them, and has Conner and Sean going 6 picks apart, Conner with the 201st to Houston (in 6th round) and Sean with the first pick of the seventh round (207) to Kansas City.
If either of those is correct, I'll be amazed, but it's nice to see him give both a spot.

ESPN just listed the top QBs in the draft and had Sean as the 10th.

Re: NFL Draft Watch
Damn. A guy from WAKE FOREST gets drafted before Sean and Conner.
What the hell are these football guys watching?
(no offense to DD, CathyCA and anyone else connected to Wake Forest....)

The QB from State was drafted yesterday. He's can't begin to compete with Sean.lawgrad91 wrote:Damn. A guy from WAKE FOREST gets drafted before Sean and Conner.

If either Conner or Sean had played at a "football" school, they'd probably get more serious looks.

I think that as well. Can you imagine where Conner would have been drafted if he'd been at, say, Florida or Alabama?Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:The QB from State was drafted yesterday. Sean Renfree to Atlanta in the 7th round. As a Saints fan, I hope they will trade him. Or I'll have to start to like Roddy White's team after all (BTW, Roddy White is a HUGE Duke fan.)

Apparently Sean has been drafted by the Falcons. The sleeper is Conner. Some team's going to be pleasantly surprised.lawgrad91 wrote:I think that as well. No offense taken. No defense needed. Puns intended .lawgrad91 wrote:Damn. A guy from WAKE FOREST gets drafted before Sean and Conner.

Re: NFL Draft Watch
Absolutely awesome work on the pun...part of me completely agrees with the above, but I think its just going to take some time. Another bowl game and a win against a top 25 team would help.devildeac wrote:No offense taken. No defense needed. Puns intended .lawgrad91 wrote:Damn. I was very disappointed Conner wasn't picked, but not surprised. I think he's better than many of the players drafted and I think he has more pro potential too. Let's hope he gets picked up by a team where he has a chance to make the team.
Oh...congrats to Sean. I was really skeptical he'd get picked considering the injury. Best of luck to him! He got picked ahead of a few considered better by the media. That's a huge plus.
