Apparently for the team, too. It took them a while to wake up.YmoBeThere wrote:This game starts way too late.

Re: LTE 2.0
As the Bunsen Burns:
As you may recall from our last installment, we held a departmental meeting in which two investigators (Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote) presented potential ideas for NIH grants. One proposed project was far better than the other.
Today, Road Runner came to my office today with a print-out of an email, received on Friday, in which Wile E. Coyote expressed a desire to collaborate on a grant he's putting together for resubmission to the NIH. The grant was not funded by the NIH the first time around due to concerns about experimental design (among other things), and he thinks he's addressed all of their criticisms. WEC was very excited to learn that RR's lab had experience in a particular technique discussed in last week's meeting, and WEC wants to apply this technology to his project. Here's the problem: RR's cool, state-of-the-art technique cannot be applied to WEC's project at all, and WEC should know this. RR's technique is used to study non-protein components of tumor cross-sections. WEC is wanting to use this technique to study a particular type of cancer cell that he has grown in culture (in a flask, in other words). There's no tumor. Road Runner's reply is going to be something along the lines of, "So sorry, but I do not have time to work with you on your project. Will be interested in hearing about it at our next departmental meeting."
I live in fear that The Boss will force me to collaborate with this moron. If so, I will be sorely tempted to call PHB and ask for my old job back. Seriously, this guy makes BarMinion look like a rocket scientist.

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

A bunch of us were in Section 21 for the women's game. Chatbot was a bit cranky, but nothing like we've been seeing during the men's games.CathyCA wrote:It's quiet in here.

Dang, AD. When I saw you were the last poster to LTE, I was hoping for a new installment of "As the Bunsen Burns." Oh, well. Safe travels! Re: LTE 2.0
I am so glad we are heading to the next round - especially with the KU loss. Husband of a co-worker was telling me how much better KU was than Duke back at the beginning of december. If we go a round further, I can chuckle to myself about it. I won't say it to him or to my Jayhawk sisters. I just had to say it to someone.

KU had their game won, and handed to to Michigan (along with that ridiculous punch to the junk) that one had to sting.
