2014 Recruiting
It is never too early to talk recruiting. We have one 2014 commitment, Zavier Carmichael, a linebacker from Mobile, AL. There are lots of offers out there, including:

Reading about kick returners always excites me (I'm easily entertained). 2014 will be a small class of around 14 or 15 so we need to make each scholarship count. I'll make a concerted effort to add info/links to this thread as information becomes available. It is almost March Madness, my absolutely favorite time of the year, but I am jonesing for some football.

Why so small? Is that all the scholarships that we will have available?Bob Green wrote:2014 will be a small class of around 14 or 15.

Re: 2014 Recruiting
Yep, there will only be 11 seniors on the roster this year. Throw in 3 or 4 redshirt juniors who decide to move on with life and 14 or 15 is the projected number. While that low number sucks from a recruiting centric perspective, it actually represents having an experienced team in 2014. As long as we sign the right 14 or 15 recruits (easier said than done), this is a good thing!

One OT in the Truck....
Welcome to Duke Mr. Trip McNeil.
Not many sites have a in depth analysis, but the Devils Den is showing him as a 3 star recruit and one of the best from NC. All in all, I'd say this is a great start to the 2014 recruiting year.

Yep, this is the same dude. He had offers from UNC, State, Wake, Virginia and a couple more schools. It is great to win a big recruiting battle over a top NC recruit.devildeac wrote:Is the the 6'4" 290 dude you PM'ed me about earlier today, Bob?The Football Fan wrote:One OT in the Truck....

Kameron Schroeder committed to Duke on 3/29. Rivals has him as a 3 star offensive tackle. He is from California. 6'5" or 6'6" depending on the website.

At 6'6", 320 does he count as two recruits?lawgrad91 wrote:Jake Sanders, a 3 star offensive lineman (6'6", 320) from Georgia, committed to Duke.

Sanders is a big boy, imagine running the power sweep with him out in front as the pulling guard.lawgrad91 wrote:Jake Sanders, a 3 star offensive lineman (6'6", 320) from Georgia, committed to Duke.
