Coaching...wish list

Post by The Football Fan » February 26th, 2013, 9:33 pm

So, does anyone know what the status is of the search? Are they still searching for anyone? I know they promoted Reqan Boyette to RB coach, but that would still seem to leave a recruiting position and special teams position open.

Warning unfiltered OPINION is about to be delivered.

Though I doubt this would ever happen, the person I would really like...LOVE... to see Duke go after is...

drum roll please....

Steve Logan

I know he's not special teams, but he actually fits everything I think we'd want to spice up the offense. Plus, he can handle play calling and that would allow coach Cut to focus on recruiting and special teams. In fact, I really think he'd do a bang up job with play calling, but I'd be willing to bet that's not on the table.

Still, he's recruited North Carolina...has trained multiple QBs who've played in the NFL (play off games too)...He's beaten the University of Miami, when they were ranked (oh and Butch Davis was the coach)...oh and he did it twice...at East Carolina...EAST CAROLINA....that's 2 star recruits beating 5 star recruits (great examples of awesome play calling. They were down big in the 3rd and 4th quarter, but Logan wore down the UM corners, got'm cramping up and continually drilled them for 20-40 yards a pop, they couldn't tackle David Garrard and stadium was going Bananas, it was in Raleigh cause Hurricane Floyd had decimated Greenville NC...Awesome.) Everywhere he's gone, the offense has done well....and as far as I can tell...he's not working. Are you kidding me....get this boy on the phone people. Tom O'Brien looked like a great coach at Boston College, he gets the credit for Matt Ryan, but you know who the offensive coordinator was????? Can we get a petition going for this dude? When you see examples of great coaching, you make a note...take a flyer. Anybody got some connections?

Who's on your wish list?
