Blue Steel Crisis

Guys: One of my friends who is a student at Chapel Hill just made the varsity basketball team as a walk-on - a member of the famed "Blue Steel" group. His is an incredible guy. My heart is torn.

Advice? How do I respond? What do I do?

This post is for the most part tongue-in-cheek. ;)

Do they play in Tallahassee this year? You might want to buy him a hard hat for when he and his four friends are all alone on the court, and ol Roy has taken the Swahili students, uh, scholarship athletes, to the locker room.

I was torn between mourning the loss and convincing him to quit the team. Get him to quit and then never speak to him again.

Support your friend, and congratulate him on making the team. Hope he doesnt get left Behind in Tallahassee roaming around, with 4 other walk ons. Hit him up for the Guest/Family tickets, for both games!!!!

Cheer for DUKE, and golf clap (silently), if your Unc friend happens to get in the last 2 minutes of the game, for a final substitution.

Don't Waste or burn a Friendship........... damn, this Unc friend came get you GOOD FREE tickets for 2 Duke/Unc games!!!!

Go Duke!!! GTHC!!!!!

But he can wear a Kansas blue (Duke Blue) shirt with a Kansas jayhawk sticker........ during Final 4s and that is okay.......... Double standard!!!

Lord forbid, getting a Duke fan tossed with minutes left in a game.... like he did with the Presbyterian fan.
