Paulus to be a Wolverine?
I heard on Sportscenter this morning that Greg met with Rich Rodriguez about playing for Michigan next year as a QB. There's also a story about it over on DBR. http://www.dukebasketballreport.com/articles/?p=27218 It'll be hard to pull for Michigan for me, as my family is all USC people, and Duke and Michigan kind of have their own semi-rivalry, but I'll find a way to pull for Paulus at least if this actually happens. Good luck, Greg.

I could see that happening much more than I could see him jumping to the pros. I wonder if since he had his workout before this news, it wasn't some advice that the guys from the Packers suggested to him. Obviously, even though we love him at Duke, we have two guys with more experience ready to go. I don't know what the situation is at Michigan. Best of luck to him. (wouldn't it be funny if somehow he did go and Michigan played unc in a bowl?)

I don't think he COULD play for us next year. I think the NCAA rule is that if he's played four years in a single sport at one school and graduates, he has one year of eligibility left IN ANOTHER sport AT ANOTHER school. I don't think he can play the fifth season at his original school, even if it's in a different sport.

Looks like Michigan has offered Paulus a scholarship. The article says that other college programs (including Syracuse) have expressed an interest as well. Paulus' decision will be based on the opportunity to play starting quarterback and also on the quality of the college's graduate program. Sounds like he's approaching this in a very levelheaded manner.

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Re: Paulus to be a Wolverine?
Paulus was on PTI today as the "five good minutes" guest. He did pretty well, though he talked REALLY fast and said "ah" a lot. They asked him about what made him think he could play football next season, about taking hits, and about why Michigan would want him. He seemed very upbeat and excited. I'm sure ESPN has a podcast of it.
