Good luck! Hopefully you have a roaring fire and a bottle of rum to help with the cold camping weather. I recommend the captain:

At the Carolina tailgate, remind me to tell ya'll my New Year's Eve, bottle of rum, 3.5 year old grandson (at the time) and broken toe sea story. It's a doozie. I desire to state up front all consumption of rum was by me as was the broken toe. However, it was the grandson's fault! It's my story and I'm sticking to it!CathyCA wrote:

Re: TBCC @ The Eastern Carolina BBQ Throwdown
We are all back home, or mostly there at least. The Throwdown was tons of fun again this year. No cool trophies, but overall we did well and improved on our scores from our previous two competitions. As a team we finished 27th. CowboyDevil did the best of all of us and got 18th with his chicken, I was right on his heels with 19th with pork.
The team next to us got reserve grand champion, which is the second time that has happened. Next time we show up, we are demanding money up front from our neighbors since apparently we are excellent luck.
Thanks tons to Ozzie and our friend Marie for coming out to support us, as well as CD's aunts. I'll be posting pics on facebook shortly.

I'm happy you all had fun. I'm hoping next year, Bud and I can come to do a tasting. I know we would enjoy being around.

I had some of Ronnie's chicken for dinner tonight. 18th place? Ronnie, you was robbed! That was delicious! Really enjoyed it! Was going to eat 2 of the 4 pieces and let my SIL have the others. Uh uh. I ate all 4!
