Good morning. It's 5:33 here as I type. I have to catch a 6:40 bus - I'm taking a tour to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon (West Rim). Long ride, but this should be fun. Seeing the Grand Canyon is on my bucket list. No coffee in the room here, so that will have to wait a while. Besides, the "bus is a 10 passenger job, more like a big SUV. I don't think there is a pisser on it (If you have ever seen the play (or movie) 1776, a pisser is what Ben Franklin called a bathroom )
Yesterday a took a self directed walk to the Mirage, where I found the Carnegie Deli and hundreds of shops, Caesar's Palace, and Margaritaville, where I found pina collada's
After returning from the grand trip today, I'm going to Cirque du Soleil ( O show ) tonight.

Spend the extra money and go on the Hualapai nation's skywalk. It is well worth it! Also, spend the money to have them take your picture.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Good morning. It's 5:33 here as I type. O is a wonderful show. There is so much going on--live music, dance, acrobatics, diving, synchronized swimming, pyromania. The floor of that pool gets raised and lowered probably one hundred times during the course of the show. Sometimes it's a pool, sometimes it's a stage. It's totally fascinating. I'd love to go on the backstage engineering tour of that set.

Done and done! Skywalk and picture. And a picture take at the Hoover Dam, too. I'l post some of the pics I took tomorrow (maybe). Really enjoyed the tour.CathyCA wrote:Spend the extra money and go on the Hualapai nation's skywalk. It is well worth it! Good Morning! There was a beautiful rainbow this morning on my drive in...you could see the full arch. Wish I had not been driving 70 mph or I would have taken a photo.

Harumph.
My last harumph for the week. Tomorrow, in lieu of coming to the salt mine, I am volunteering at the Henry County/Martinsville Habitat for Humanity house building.

Good morning. Last day in Vegas, flight leaves at 4:15 this afternoon. Not sure yet what I'll do, but I have a couple of things in mind, one of which is just go to the pool and relax.
