Lap 1 at the Glen: Blech in the lead
Lap 1: Vickers engine blows... heads to the garage.
So much for my C list pick!

Jamie Mac blows a tires, and damages front. Then Kurt Busch loses a wheel.

And now my day is officially ruined... Smoke serves a pass through penalty for getting a gas can stuck in his car.

And Ymo gets a problem: Logano had a suspension issue, and loses 20 spots.
And Lawgrad has problems, as Newman's tire blows on the restart.

And NOW JPM has a left front problem, and can't turn well. Into the pits now.
That would be THREE racers of mine with a penalty or in the garage.
And Logano is in the garage too.

Lap 38: Bowyer reports that brakes are not working. He may come in and they will have to bleed brakes.
JG is having some issues too.
Kes has been in the lead the last 15 laps.
Now Ambrose takes the lead.
Smoke is now in 12th on the lead lap. HOW?!?!?!?!

My friend Kevin and I were comparing drivers at lunch. He is joining me in the category today unless Smoke and Ambrose pull off utter miracles.

Smoke is now in 9th. Bowyer's brakes are better now in 10th.
Ambrose increasing his lead. Blech maintaining 4th place, but no one is catching Ambrose at this point.
Kurt Busch is now back on the track.

Rain may be coming in the next 15 minutes.
Ambrose comes into the pits on lap 47 of 90.

Lap 52 of 90
Kes in the lead on a 2-pit strategy.
Smoke is in 5th.
Hornish is in 7th.
Guess who left Hornish on the bench?
KK served a pass through pit penalty.
Blech doing well.

Lap 58 of 90: CAUTION: Hamlin lost oil

Truex ran out of gas moments earlier, and will have to restart at the back of the pack. He had been 3rd.

Kes had just pitted. Blech will have to pit now, instead of waiting for only one more pit.

27 laps to go:
Kes holds the lead, followed by Smoke, Bowyer, Blech, Biff.
Truex helped KK spin out.

26 laps to go: CAUTION: Leffler stuck in the grass.
Probably no one will go to the pits.

And with 24 laps to go, still under yellow, it is now showering in portions of the course.
If they stay under yellow aother two or three laps, Smoke will have enough fuel to last until the end.
It might also mean that Kes will take over the most laps led.

22 to go: green flag racing
RESTART!!
Kes, Smoke, Ambrose, Bowyer, Blech
Newman has fought back to 12th!!

Montoya is racing again.

CAUTION: Smoke goes flying into the pits. He lost it on a turn by the pits, and spun into the pits, somehow making it into his stall. He'll continue in the race.
Probably moisture from some rain. When they restart, I think he'll still be on the lead lap.

Blech takes the lead on the restart.
Blech, Kes, Ambrose running 1, 2, 3.
Smoke restarted 28th, is now 20th.
I expect another caution.
Blech should now have clinched bonus points for leading the most laps.

7 laps to go, Jr spins out, but no caution.

1 lap to go: Blech is running out of fuel, or has a flat, and Kes is catching him
KES SPINS OUT BLECH!!

WOW!! WHAT A FINISH!!
AMBROSE AND KES PLAYED BUMPER CARS!!

JG into the wall on the last turn!!

AMBROSE WINS!!

When Nemechek ran out of fuel, he let loose oil over the track.
That slipped Blech, which meant that Kes had no option. He bumped Blech out of it.
Kes and Ambrose spent the rest of the race slipping, sliding, bumping, and twisting the whole way home, racing through grass as well!!

Ambrose powered home on the last turn.
Kes came home, went over to the Ambrose crew, and shook hands with everyone. In the interview, he said that THAT was what racing should be. No deliberate bumping. Just hard nose racing.

Don't know what Blech (7th) will say.

I think I nailed last place this week in fantasy picks.
Knights may have won, but chose Almirola... even though he used up his picks for Almirola. Be careful folks!!
