Last Friday, the town public works dept dug up the water meter at Mom's house, shut the water off and didn't tell anyone. I don't always walk around that side of the house. The doorknob card that was left to notify...I found it this morning in the yard under some shrubbery...by chance. It's yellow.
I have great plumber that showed up to correct a broken connector between the supply line and the meter while I was roaming around today. He knew what I was going through and offered to delay his charges until the family all got back home. Aside from money, his reward will come in Heaven.
