Today's plans include lunch with my great aunt's best friend, Susan. Susan is turning 101 on Tuesday, and she has invited my mom and me to her birthday celebration today.
I celebrated Susan's 100th birthday with her last year, and I issued an invitation to her to attend my 100th birthday party. She told me that she plans to be there. We're both one year closer to that goal.

Pics are up on FB.

I have a history of thinking I know my gas gauge... to the point that I carry a 1 1/2 gallon gas can (empty) in the trunk of my cars, just in case. Today's gas stations are rarely "service stations" and most don't have approved containers to transport fuel back to your car/truck.
Some folks carry them with gas inside them.

A little scary, and I don't choose to do it, but it can be done if there is a positive seal on the can and it is completely filled. Any air space in the can, can allow for water condensation to develop within, thereby contaminating the fuel.

Even worse is the vapor in the space above the liquid fuel - as the concentration of vapors reach the LEL - Lower Explosive Limit - that's what burns, or explodes (not the liquid fuel) when a certain temperature and pressure is reached. Water contamination is the least of your problems... ;) And it's why an emptied can can still be terribly dangerous/explosive.

I'm having lunch with That Girl, Marlo Thomas, today. One thousand of our closest friends will be joining us!
