Re: NASCAR 2012
Technically, Iowa has the lead by 12 pts, Tilly leads Ymo by 10, Ymo leads me by 4 pts, and I lead LG by 21 pts. Colchar is another 71 pts back, followed by d'deac's SIL2 17 pt back, followed by knights (another 31 pts behind), and Miles is another 99 pts behind that.TillyGalore wrote:The girls rocked it this weekend. If I am in the 86th percentile, Iowa must be in the 90's!

Yahoo Fantasy NASCAR people must suck. I'm in 5th place in our league and 80th percentile overall.

I couldn't agree more! I'm the 93rd percentile and am still trying to understand how you get these points but am not giving them back!lawgrad91 wrote:Yahoo Fantasy NASCAR people must suck. I'm in 5th place in our league and 80th percentile overall.

Re: NASCAR 2012
Congrats, folks on winning one week. It's a LONG season.
Note: do NOT offend the karma gods regarding what percentile you're in (and what the NASCAR folks are like). It's still VERY early.
As for the percentiles, several things have emerged:
1) A number of folks sign up, then don't enter anything. I suspect that a good 3-5% have done that.
2) If they botch up one week, another 1-2% drop out early (especially if they're doing better in either ESPN or NASCAR fantasy leagues).
3) One strategy early on is NOT to go for maximum points, but to use up picks that you know you will NOT be using later in the season. Reserve your #1 picks for later when you will be relying on them. Last year, I reserved my Edwards, JJ, and Smoke picks for the Chase, and it paid off. I also reserved my Ragan, Smith, and Menard picks well enough. On the other hand, I relied on Kes in the middle of the season, just as he started to click. A LOT goes on in the season. Biding your time while things settle is a wise strategy.
Next play. VEGAS!!
Will Tilly use a Blech pick now?

I was going to monkey around with my picks for Vegas, but Yahoo Fantasy Racing is blocked by the firewall at Wesley Long Hospital. Must be because of the word "Fantasy."

Well I don't know who Tilly's Blech is but I have a couple of them too! I guess if I have to use at least one of them at some point, hopefully in their hometown is the week to do it? Thanks Tilly for the perfect smiley for the Blech!

Blech=Kyle Busch. Kurt Busch is only slightly better than brother Blech. It's like the difference between pond scum and lake scum.IowaDevil wrote:Well I don't know who Tilly's Blech is
