I went to grad school in Missouri. I'll believe it when I see it. You have to show me. ;)

Extremely important point: have offer and terms in writing before giving notice and starting the pack up. Until then, fly under the radar.

I received the official offer letter today, and with it a surprise: I will be getting a substantial raise!

Arkie: Create a spreadsheet, and document EVERY FREAKIN' EXPENSE in your move, including expenses you incur before, during, and after the move. CONSULT with a tax person! Find out what you can and can't use for tax purposes.

Hint: storage fees after you arrive at your new destination are not deductible.
