Good morning. I'd rather be ringing the bell this morning than celebrating UNLV.

To borrow for a certain Grandmother...
"It's a shame" to celebrate other's loss rather than your own victory. Bless their hearts.
Next play!
But they can still go to Hell!

UNLV's victory certainly provided salve for our wound.
I still wish that our football team had won that game.
Good morning!

It's a very good morning. Thank you, UNLV!
OH CRAP... just realized something. The home team here in Kentucky becomes number one.

There was an article in the n&o (I refuse to call it a newspaper) 10-15 years ago about a a verrrryy loooong canoe trip from the Falls Lake Dam down the Neuse River but I cannot remember how far they floated. I am not sure it was to New Bern but it may have been. I'd bet at least a 2 day float.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I wonder how long it would take you to float to New Bern.devildeac wrote:Just finished a brisk 75 minute walk on a new greenway along the Neuse River. Good morning!
I'm staying home from work today; I have the stomach bug that's going around. On the bright side, I can work on my seminar for next week's job interview. It also makes the phone interview with UT Southwestern at bit easier.

Triple harumph.
It's Monday.
I'm back at work.
The Rev Lawgrad, who apparently believes in the goodness of all mankind, used my car last night and didn't lock my doors. (I ALWAYS lock my doors; he never bothers.) This morning, our little household is down two Garmin GPS units and a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses.

No, it isn't. Interestingly enough, I have a guy coming up in court who (with two buddies) broke in cars in a neighborhood and stole thousands of dollars of stuff. Think he's gonna get any breaks from me?CathyCA wrote:Uh-oh. Robbing a prosecutor ain't a good thing.lawgrad91 wrote:Triple harumph.

Nope. He's in jail. His area of theft is Roanoke and Franklin and Henry Counties. AFAIK, he hasn't drifted across the state line. I doubt he could find my bucolic corner of the world.

And your fellow prosecutor in N.C. isn't going to give the guy who stole from you any breaks, either.lawgrad91 wrote:No, it isn't. People that break into vehicles of a prosecutor and a minister aren't very smart, are they? They'll get it on earth and in the hereafter. Or they'll be sent to chapeheeya.
