They're sure going down in a blaze of glory right now.
Down to their last strike, and they tied it in the bottom of the 9th.
Then Raleigh's Josh Hamilton finally hits a home run to put Texas back up 2 in the top of the 10th. Now, 2 on, none out for the Cards in the bottom of the 10th. And you stopped watching? Sheesh indeed!

AD, they had to walk him. They couldn't let his bat beat them. Very smart move. Like walking Manny Ramirez when he was in Boston - had to do it.

I've had a good day. I made a pot of chilli and cornbread for dinner. The tailgate fixings are ready. It doesn't appear I need to stay up to see who wins the World Series.

Getting sore throat and runny nose...
Maybe an early bedtime will stave off what otherwise feels like it wants to become a fullblown cold. Being sick on Halloween is a bummer, even when you're too old for trick or treating.
