On second thought, the defendant isn't exceptionally bright, either. After all, he DID get caught.

Bad luck on his part. He and his buddy broke into drink machines all over town. A Martinsville police officer saw the video of these guys leaving the local hospital after one of their sprees, pants on the ground from the pockets full of change. He couldn't find them in the police photo database (they're from metro Charlotte, of all places), but when he and his wife went to dinner one night, these guys were at the next table. Why they didn't steal the Coke machines blind and then go back to Charlotte is beyond me.

Good morning! Heading to the mountains today! OzzieDaughter gets a "Teacher of the Year" award from the Avery County Farm Bureau tonight!
It came out of the clear blue sky - she has no idea what she did to win the award, but we're very proud of her for winning it, and we're going to the awards dinner! Down side is no TBCC cook off in Rocky Mount for us this weekend.
