Where didn't I go ?
Carthage
Southern Pines
Lumberton
Florence
Darlington
Hartsville
8 vehicle load with 7 drops.
Finally got home about 10:00.
Travel fun....
A railroad crossing gate in Florence came crashing down right in front of me. I sat for 10 minutes awaiting the arrival of the train that isn't coming. But, I don't know that. Some are going around the stop-arm and running the traffic signal 100 ft ahead. I'm not about to try that...yet.
I called for local police. A couple of patrol cars had been seen but that was due to my vision of their broadsides as they did U-turns way back behind me.
I called the SC highway patrol to ask for direction. They said they would send a patrolman out and contact the railroad folks. .
When I saw Florence police officer #3 do a turn around right in front of me, I said "Piss on this!" and I carefully steered the BUTT around the crossarm and went on my unmerry way, after 45minutes waiting and having reported the trouble to 2 different law enforcement authorities.
If someone had hit something or someone else during all the turning out shit that was going on behind me, where I had no chance to move or get turned around, the law agents would have appeared in less than 2 minutes. But...just for fun in SC, try to get them to show up in a preventative mode.

I drove to Wilson. Mom said, "Do you have the tickets?"
I drove back to Greenville. I picked up the tickets.
I drove to Durham. Duke won.

Checklist for game: #1 Tickets for the Game
I always put my tickets in the glovebox locked, or in the trunk. And had my parking pass, in the side door. Just so I wouldnt forget, or get in a hurry, and leave them. Just easier for me to keep up where those Football tickets were located.
At least, you weren't in Durham, without the tickets. Although, the ticket office would have reprinted them for you.
The main thing, you were at the game, and Duke got a victorious win on Homecoming! And had a great time! I bet you never leave home without Your Tickets, again!!

I do one (usually pick-up), and Mr. DA does the other (drop-off.)DukieInKansas wrote:Shouldn't there be two stops - one to drop one to pick up?DevilAlumna wrote:Sounds familiar, but throw in a stop at daycare too.YmoBeThere wrote:Work and then right back home. Booorriinnggg!
