That made it 29,001. I think. I just need more posts. #'s aren't important for the moment. Not until they are a lot higher.

You have to love this - Before their concert last night, the Foo Fighters showed up in a counter protest to the "lovely" (cough cough) group from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka who were protesting outside the Sprint Center. http://www.nbcactionnews.com/dpp/news/l ... re-concert

My trip to Texas is almost over. It's been lots of fun. My cousin and I are still having a good time. Tomorrow, we are going to Galveston and maybe Houston for the day.

Re: LTE 2.0
We had a seminar at work today. I arrived at the seminar and learned from a coworker that the speaker is here on an interview for a position in our lab, associated with the new grant. The boss is hosting a big reception at his house tonight; my coworker was quite surprised to learn that I had not been invited. This time, at least, I wasn't the only person left off the list of attendees. At least one other coworker was also left out.
My mantra for the day: this makes someone look bad, and it ain't me.

And the added bonus - it continues to make the boss look bad to your co-workers. This will catch up to him at some point.ArkieDukie wrote:We had a seminar at work today. DING DING DING ... we have a winner. My co-worker's comment was, "That's pretty shitty." You could crash the party. What's he gonna do? Tell you to leave? Reprimand you tomorrow for showing up? Fire you? I don't think so.ArkieDukie wrote:DING DING DING ... we have a winner. Re: LTE 2.0
I believe that, by employing the official windsor's "Who's the asshole" test, I should not go. If I was invited and did not go, I'd be the asshole. If I appeared without being invited, I'd be the asshole. No invitation to attend, he's the asshole. How does this logic sound to the quorum? Is this a correct application of The Wisdom of Windsor?OZZIE4DUKE wrote:You could crash the party. What's he gonna do? Tell you to leave? Reprimand you tomorrow for showing up? Fire you?
