I really like it when the weather is so nice that I can walk home across Forest Park, rather than taking the crowded train! :happy-bouncyblue:

<Like!> (Sorry, I spend way too much time on FB....)

It was a lovely 72 & sunny here for my mommy & baby lunchtime stroll - we went to a new lakeside park, got some sun, exercise, and adult conversation (as opposed to baby cooing). Yay!

I know there's a giant hurricane bearing down on the east, but it's forecast to be 108 Saturday and Sunday here!!!!

Can we average out the temps and rainfall between here and there??

Stay safe y'all and send some rain and cooler temps this way please.

Nice Dink. It isn't really hot here. Not cool enough to open the windows and too much humid but it's not very hot. Tomorrow we are hoping for rain.

Happy Labor Day to all! It appears that Tropical Storm Lee has taken the Sun away and its overcast. Was hoping for a day of beautiful sunshine at the pool today. So many country club and community pools close today. Although the weather in NC, would allow for another 2 or 3 weeks, with the hot temperatures we have.

Here we go again! Lots of rain and conditions which encourage the development of tornadoes coming in from the west. This sort of unease is likely to continue overnight into tomorrow.

Thank you! The watch includes these Piedmont counties: Alamance, Forsyth and Guilford and is in effect until 4A.

Periodically rained like hell driving home from the mountains this afternoon. But traffic was surprisingly light.

We got out of Patrick County while the gettin' was good!
Heavy duty winds and rain in the afternoon and evening were to follow the mists and heavy fogs of the morning. The mountain fogs are said to be 'spirits' moving in.

It's been a great weather week with a stiff breeze and cooler temps--low 90s instead of mid 100s.

All this is completely marred by disastrous wild fires that have taken out 500 homes and are all the more difficult to contain because of the wind.

Central Texas is taking it in the teeth this summer.

We received 2" of rain yesterday. More of the same today. High temperature will be in the 60's today. It was 55 when I drove in today.

Meanwhile, (and I meant to post this yesterday) Jeter went 2 for 5 on Sunday with a home run and 5 RBI's, and then 1 for 5 yesterday and is hitting .297. And the Yankees are 2 1/2 games ahead of the RSox, 3 in the lost column. And just for good measure, ARod hit a home run on Sunday too! B-) Yesterday was Jesus Montero day at the Stadium.

Neither am I. And fortunately, it's pronounced the Spanish way - "Hey-soos"! I understand there were headlines from yesterday's game that "Jesus saves the Yankees". He hit his first two major league home runs in the late innings, leading to their last 3 runs in their 11-10 win.

Jeter's the guy who was dating someone, but is no longer doing so, right? :D
