My wife and I saw a game in Fenway a few weeks ago. We stayed in a hotel close enough to walk to the game. This was overall a great experience.
Who cares about Fenway? What beers did you sample while in Boston?  :)

Just kidding. Hope you had a great vacation!

I've taken the train down into Boston when going to Red Sox games. It works out well unless the games go longer than expected. I now better understand the benefits of mass transit.

BTW, I should be at Citi Field two weekends from now...

What? Everbody does! ;)

Uhm, sorry to be a nit-picker, but the Cubs haven't been in the Series since 1945. In 1946 the Cardinals beat the Red Sox on Enos Slaughter's mad dash.

Last time I checked, the Royals were having a decent season. The Pirates only chance these days is to win with young home grown talent, but it could happen (see Tampa Bay, 2008).

Finally, I'm no bandwagon fan!

The Bucs have traded away most of what they have(and to the benefit of the Sox) so its going to be a couple more years before they could contend...

My first interactions with the Red Sox were in the early '80's when we were stationed at Fort Devens...while the Dodgers will always be my favorite team, the Sox have always been my favorite AL team. Fortunately, their paths haven't crossed in the WS in my lifetime.

The Vet (many a time growing up, RIP)
Camden Yards
Yankee soon-to-be-parking-lot-ium

Tropicana Field for the 1999 final four, obviously not watching baseball, and obviously never going back...

Ben, unless there is a really good explanation for this, NOT COOL AT ALL.

Edit: I see the shirt in the page linked, but I still don't find it necessary to post again.

Let me apologize for posting the link. I had no idea that shirt was there and only posted because the baseball stadium themed t-shirts fit in nicely with the thread.

I would not object if Ben63's post was taken down. In fact, I'd prefer it.

Apology accepted. Just don't let it happen again, and remember, actions have consequences. This is a very innocent, inexpensive lesson for you to have learned.

I can officially cross put a checkmark next to Citi Field. Tickets we ended up getting(face value) were twice what you pay at Fenway. We were able to get two guys in a sort of bidding war and paid the Fenway price.

Here's my list. They kind of pile up over the years... Of the old parks, I think my favorite was Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. I used to love walking down 33rd St past all the rowhouses and people sitting on the porch watching the fans go by. Fenway and Wrigley are obviously special. Dodger Stadium is gorgeous but showing its age. I bet it will be gone in 10 years.

Dead ballparks
Forbes Field
Three Rivers Stadium
Veteran's Stadium
Shea Stadium
Yankee Stadium
Fulton County Stadium
Memorial Stadium (Baltimore)
Old Comiskey Park
Tiger Stadium
County Stadium (Milwaukee)
Candlestick Park
Jack Murphy Stadium
Durham Athletic Park

Current ballparks
PNC Field
Citizens Bank Park
Camden Yards
Fenway
Wrigley
New Comiskey Park
Dodger Stadium
Anaheim Stadium

Minor League parks
Lackawanna County Stadium (Scranton)
Reading Municipal Stadium (Reading)
Campbell Field (Camden)
Frawley Stadium (Wilmington, Del)
Myrtle Beach (new park and at Coastal Carolina)
Prince William County (VA)
