Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

I'm pretty sure you can find contemporary sources of supply. Googling came up with this source http://www.mybluebonnets.com/servlet/th ... Re: LTE 2.0
I hate gnats. They're really bad this summer; popular theory in the Northeast is the decline in the bat population due to a lethal fungus. They are outnumbering the skeeters by far, so I suppose that's some small consolation...
So I've been doing my small part - I think I've inhaled a dozen or more during the 2-3 months of kids' baseball and softball, not to mention the few that felt obligated to get all up close and personal with my eyeballs. (Apparently my ears are too disgusting to merit in-depth investigation...)
Finally gave up and went nuclear with the deet-based bug repellent. I will gladly trade you all my gnats today for a chance of cancer a couple decades from now...

Re: LTE 2.0
The varnish zone newspaper had an article about a sheriff's race in a neighboring county (where Oedipus, my version of ExLax, works) this morning. The online version mentioned, pretty far down in the article, that the challenger had previously worked at the sheriff's office but had been let go. The next line reads, "This info here and below seems interesting enough to put higher in the story to explain why he is no longer works there."
These are the same rocket scientists that stated several years ago that an honors graduate from a local high school is going to college to be a "nurse antithesis."
