Question & Answer Answered On

Q: If I should win will the funds go to support efforts to get more UNC-Chapel Hill alums on the UNC Board of Governors? I think 100% of the Board of Governors should have attended our great Chapel Hill university. It should be mandatory! ;>) Jul-07-11
A: The NCAA (a Section 501(c)(3) Organization) - and specifically its Committee on Infractions - has been selected as the designated charity for this auction.
Q: If I win, may I choose which charity my $$$ will be donated to? If so, please donate my winning bid to the Fund to Keep John Blake Quiet. That $75,000 in hush money that UNC paid me after I re-signed didn't last as long as I hoped it would. Thank you, John Blake Jul-06-11
A: The so-called "Educational Foundation" at the University of North Carolina is the most likely charity; however the NCAA Foundation (designated adn permanently restricted for use by the Infractions Cmte) is running a close second.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but apparently, Derek Jeter went 5-for-5 today, to break over 3,000 hits in his career. ;) :D

Today is B's first Sunday at two of his new churches. I'm the guest children's time speaker. My theme is "Be strong and be brave."

The first rule about posting on CTN is you do NOT talk about Derek Jeter. ;)

I have been cooking and canning the past several days. I have put up spaghetti sauce and chili. Today I'm making vegetable chicken soup. Tomorrow, I will start all over.I have a plan: This coming Fall and Winter, I will not be cooking and or going out to eat out as much. :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

It went fine, except he forgot to take up an offering at the first church. Everything at the second church (which is where I did the children's time) went well. They are a very happy bunch.

Thanks for asking! :happy-bouncyblue:

Attention, computer geeks:

Is there any truth to this request which appeared in my inbox this morning?
Mr. XXX has asked that we not keep internet explorer open when we are not using it, it makes our computer more accessible to viruses. Thanks!

Tell B that if he expects to get paid, he needs to take up the offering. ;) Maybe he should investigate putting credit card swipers in the pews.

Let's see:

1956 - Roxboro
1959 - Stantonsburg
1964 - Scotland Neck (1st and 2nd grades)
1970 - Durham (3rd through 7th grades - 2 different schools)
1975 - Wilmington (8th through 12th grades - 3 different schools)
1980 - Roanoke Rapids (Duke)
1984 - Elizabeth City (Wake Forest)
1990 - Greenville
1996 - retirement

I think that's about every 4.4 years. The parentheticals are my school years.
