Severe thunderstorm watch has expired, but the storms continue with heavy thunder and sharp lightening all about. Anxious little one trailing me. I'm ready for the storms to stop for today! #:-s

The weather people got the storms right, but they missed out on the timing. Sasha is now brave enough to sit on the floor and stare at me, but Merlin has to be in contact with me.

It's one heck of a storm. A real frog ponder. The satellite is a mess. I don't think I will see any more TV for awhile. This has been going on for almost an hour.

Harley may not get his river time tomorrow. It will be pretty rough. He's strong but I don't take chances with him. :O3

Still coming down here. Our dish is back on, at least.

Merlin is now next to me; Sasha is between my leg and the couch. I walked two miles with my Biggest Loser walking video instead of going to the gym, to keep the dogs relatively sane. So far, so good.

Sounds like you got what we got a few days ago. Lots of wind damage and flash flooding here.

"Frog ponder"? I've *never* heard that term, but it's excellent - can you explain?

Glad to see that our rain has migrated Eastward - we've been dry (and even occassionally sunny) for two days now!

Pouring here now, with lots of thunder. I have one dog tucked under each arm, which makes typing just a mite difficult. :O3 :O3
. . . but oh, so snuggly!

I've always heard the terms "frog strangler" or "gully washer" in reference to that much rain in such a short period of time.

It is pouring down rain. The snapping turtles in my ditch are happy now.

A frog ponder is when the rain is so hard, it "ponds" (beats) the frogs. :happy-bouncyblue:

It was the frogs "time to go".

Well...if it wasn't, the frogs would not be ponded.

Perfect weather for Dashboard Grillin'!

Lordy. This is why I, EarlJam, love fall and winter so much. You can always bundle up, but you can't put on something to cool off, unless it's a trench coat made of ice...........and they don't last very long in the heat.

There is a limit to what you can take off in public. That is why, when we had season tickets for the Chiefs, our seats were in the shade. We actually had more hot games than cold.

OK - Ethically, there is a limit as well. For example: Britteny Spears should NEVER again remove her shoes in public: http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/ ... -1745.html
