Mornin'! Home doing small engine repairs today and yesterday. (probably for several more days)
Watched the driveshaft drop off, drag, and fly away from the BIG UGLY Transport Truck I was driving at 62mph, eastbound on Business I40, 1 mile west of the Main St. exit in Kernersville, Tuesday. WOW! You talk about an experience! It had such a vibration and explosion...I thought that terrorists had been able to sneak a bomb on board one of the cars I was hauling.

Wait a minute! What did you do with the BUTT after that happened? Did you get your cars delivered? How did you get home? When did your day end?captmojo wrote:Mornin'! Home doing small engine repairs today and yesterday. (probably for several more days)

1) Coasted to a stop on the shoulder (right side with an upgrade attitude), walked 400 yards back to pick up and drag driveshaft out of the center of the right lane (unhit laying there, by other traffic...me and/or the part). Patiently waited a little over an hour for wrecker service to show up. Then after the hook-up, was pulled...along with the load, by said wrecker, back to the terminal.CathyCA wrote:

2) Cars were not delivered that day.
3) By way of previously mentioned wrecker truck
4) My day ended after unloading BUTT at the terminal @4:30pm
Oh! Good morning all! Any day I don't have to work...is a day I don't have to work.
Damned rain. So much more I could be doing.

Good morning.
Capt., glad you did what you did safely, hope the powers that be appreciate that too and don't blame you for their poor maintenance on their rig, which is obviously to blame for the random explosive failure of your rig shaft.

Good morning! Hope the sun is shining for today's graduation ceremonies but that it's not too terribly hot.
It is a good morning, indeed: no work today!
